MiyoMind for Spotify

Once Spotify is connected, you stop fishing through menus to manage your music. You describe what you want in the same chat where you already handle email, reminders, and research, and MiyoMind translates it into Spotify actions. The assistant's default name is Miyo, and it works wherever you message it: WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, or miyomind.com in any browser.

What can MiyoMind do with Spotify?

With the Spotify connector enabled, MiyoMind acts as a conversational layer over your library. You ask for music the way you'd ask a friend, and Miyo searches, organises, and queues on your behalf. The integration stays within Spotify's own connector scope, so capabilities depend on what Spotify exposes and what the operator has configured.

• Search Spotify's catalogue for songs, albums, artists, and podcasts by name, mood, or description
• Create new playlists and add or remove tracks from existing ones
• Queue tracks to play next and start playback on an active device
• Pull up an artist's top songs or surface tracks similar to one you name
• Look up what's currently playing and save it to a playlist in one step
• Combine Spotify with everything else MiyoMind does, for example: build a focus playlist and set a recurring reminder to start it every weekday morning

How do you connect Spotify to MiyoMind?

Connecting takes under a minute and uses Spotify's official OAuth flow, so MiyoMind never sees or stores your Spotify password. Here's the sequence:

1. Sign in to your dashboard at miyomind.com and open the Connectors page.
2. Find the Spotify tile and click Connect. (If it shows 'setup required', the operator hasn't configured Spotify OAuth yet.)
3. You're redirected to Spotify's official login and consent screen. Review the requested permissions.
4. Approve access. Spotify sends you back to MiyoMind and the tile flips to connected.
5. Send a test message like 'Make me a playlist called Deep Work' from any of your chat surfaces to confirm it works.

Example chat commands

You don't learn syntax. You just talk. A few examples of what works once Spotify is connected:

"Find that song that goes 'we could leave the Christmas lights up til January' — add it to my Cosy playlist."

"Make a 2-hour playlist of upbeat indie for a road trip."

"What's playing right now? Save it to Liked Songs."

"Queue up the new Tame Impala album."

"Build a workout playlist from my recent listening and remind me to start it at 6pm every weekday."

Because MiyoMind remembers what matters to you over time, you can refer back to playlists and preferences in later conversations without repeating yourself. Ask it to 'add three more songs like the ones in my Deep Work list' and it has the context.

Is the Spotify connection private and safe?

Yes. The Spotify connection is authorised through OAuth, the same delegated-access standard Spotify uses for any third-party app, which means you grant scoped access and can revoke it from your Spotify account settings at any time. MiyoMind never receives your Spotify password.

• OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, bound per-user so one account's credentials can't be used for another.
• Every paid user runs inside their own sandboxed container with no public internet egress, a read-only root filesystem, and dropped Linux capabilities.
• A 10-layer prompt-injection defence plus output scrubbing runs on every message you send.
• You can disconnect Spotify from the Connectors page, or revoke MiyoMind from Spotify's own app permissions, whenever you like.

MiyoMind is built on the open-source OpenClaw agent runtime, a model router called Hermes, and our own orchestration, memory, billing, and safety code, drawing on frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, and Alibaba. The Spotify integration is one of around 30 connectors spanning productivity, storage, and social tools, each available once the operator has configured it.
