MiyoMind for Gmail
Email is where most of your day quietly disappears. MiyoMind connects to your Gmail account and lets you handle the inbox the way you already talk: "summarise the thread from Priya," "draft a polite reply declining the meeting," "remind me to follow up with the recruiter on Thursday." You stay in WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, or the web dashboard, and Miyo does the digging and the drafting.
What can you do with Gmail and MiyoMind?
Once Gmail is connected, MiyoMind reads, searches, and drafts on your behalf so you spend less time in the inbox and more time deciding. The most common jobs people hand to Miyo:
- Search and find email in plain language — "the invoice from last month," "anything from my landlord," "the thread about the Q3 launch" — without remembering exact senders or dates.
- Summarise long threads into a few clear bullet points, so you catch up on a 30-message chain in seconds.
- Draft replies and new emails in your own tone — formal, friendly, brief, or detailed — ready for you to review.
- Triage your morning: ask what needs a response today and which emails are just noise.
- Set follow-up reminders tied to a conversation that fire across your chat apps so a dropped thread never costs you a deal.
- Pull a fact out of your email — a confirmation number, an address, a date — and use it in the next thing you ask.
How do you connect Gmail to MiyoMind?
Connecting takes about a minute and uses Google's official OAuth flow — you authorise from a Google screen and never paste a password into MiyoMind.
- Open the MiyoMind web dashboard at miyomind.com and go to the Connectors page.
- Find the Gmail tile and click Connect.
- You're sent to Google's own consent screen. Review the access being requested and approve it.
- Google redirects you back to MiyoMind and the Gmail tile shows as connected.
- Start chatting — try "summarise my unread emails" or "draft a reply to the last message from Sam" in any of your connected chat apps.
If the Gmail tile shows "setup required" instead of a Connect button, the operator running your MiyoMind instance hasn't configured the Google OAuth credentials yet — a connector becomes available only once that's in place. This is intentional and honest: you'll never see a Connect button that leads to a dead end.
Example chat commands
There's no syntax to learn. Talk to Miyo the way you'd brief an assistant:
Summarise the email thread with the accounting team this week.
Draft a reply to Maria saying I can do Tuesday at 2, but not Wednesday.
Search my inbox for the flight confirmation and tell me the booking reference.
What unread emails actually need a reply today?
Remind me to follow up on the contract email if I haven't heard back by Friday. Is connecting Gmail safe?
Yes. MiyoMind uses Google's standard OAuth, so you grant access on Google's screen and can revoke it anytime from your Google Account permissions. The access token MiyoMind receives is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, bound to your account so it can't be reused elsewhere. On paid plans your assistant runs inside a dedicated, sandboxed container with a read-only root filesystem and no public internet egress, and every message passes through a multi-layer prompt-injection defence with output scrubbing.
An AI assistant that drafts, summarises, and triages email gives that time back without you having to switch tools — you're already in your chat app, and Gmail comes to you.
How does it fit with the rest of MiyoMind?
Gmail is one of around thirty connectors MiyoMind supports through OAuth, alongside Google Calendar, Google Drive, Microsoft Outlook, Notion, Slack, GitHub, and Linear. Because it's all one conversation, Miyo can chain things together: read an email, add the meeting it proposes to your calendar, drop the attached file into Drive, and remind you to reply — all from a single chat. Email stops being a separate app you have to remember to check.
Frequently asked questions
Can MiyoMind send emails from my Gmail, or only draft them?
MiyoMind prepares email as a draft for you to review and send yourself. It deliberately does not send messages from your account automatically, so a misread instruction can never become an email you didn't approve. You stay the final check on anything that leaves your inbox.
Do I need a paid plan to connect Gmail?
You can use MiyoMind on the free tier, which runs on a shared direct-agent path. Paid plans (Plus at $14.99/mo and Pro at $39.99/mo) add a dedicated, sandboxed container for stronger isolation plus far more monthly credits. Whether a connector is available also depends on the operator having configured its OAuth credentials.
Is my email data safe with MiyoMind?
Connection uses Google's official OAuth, so you authorise on Google's own screen and never share a password. The access token is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and bound to your account. On paid plans your assistant runs in an isolated container with no public internet egress, and every message is filtered by a multi-layer prompt-injection defence.
How do I revoke MiyoMind's access to Gmail?
You can disconnect the Gmail tile from the MiyoMind dashboard, or revoke access entirely from your Google Account's third-party app permissions. Either action stops MiyoMind from reading or drafting in your inbox immediately.
Which chat apps can I use to manage Gmail with MiyoMind?
You can talk to MiyoMind inside WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, or the web dashboard at miyomind.com. Whichever surface you choose, the same Gmail connection works — ask Miyo to search, summarise, or draft email from any of them.
Can MiyoMind set reminders based on my emails?
Yes. Ask Miyo to remind you to follow up on a specific thread, and it will set a one-off or recurring reminder that fires across your connected chat apps. It's a simple way to make sure an important email never slips through the cracks.
