Long-term memory

MiyoMind is an AI assistant with long-term memory: it remembers your preferences, projects, and the facts that matter to you across every conversation on WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, and the web dashboard. Memories are stored encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and you can view, edit, or delete them anytime in your dashboard.

Most chatbots forget you the moment a conversation ends. You re-explain your job, your timezone, your tools, and your preferences every single time. MiyoMind's long-term memory fixes that: Miyo, your assistant, retains the things worth remembering and pulls them into future conversations automatically, no matter which platform you message from.

Memory turns a generic AI into an assistant that actually knows you. Ask it to draft an email and it already knows your tone. Mention a project and it recalls the context. Set a reminder and it understands your schedule. Below is how the memory layer works, how to manage it, and how MiyoMind keeps it private.

How does AI memory work in MiyoMind?

MiyoMind builds a personal, durable memory of what matters to you and feeds the relevant pieces back into each new conversation, so you never start from zero. There are two complementary layers working together.

Long-term memories

These are the lasting facts and preferences MiyoMind keeps about you, your role, your goals, the way you like things done. A nightly distillation step reviews your activity and extracts the durable signal, so the memory stays useful instead of bloating with noise. The most relevant memories are injected into the assistant's context at the start of a conversation, which is why it can pick up where you left off.

Recall of past conversations

Separately, MiyoMind can search back through your earlier chats when something becomes relevant again. If you reference a decision you made last week or a document you discussed, the assistant can recall that thread and bring it forward. A rolling briefing of your recent conversations also keeps Miyo oriented on what you've been working on lately.

  • Cross-platform: a fact you share on Telegram is remembered when you message on WhatsApp, Discord, or the web dashboard, because memory is tied to your account, not a single chat window.
  • Selective by design: MiyoMind keeps the durable, useful signal rather than logging every throwaway line.
  • Always working in the background: distillation and recall happen automatically, with no special command required.

How do I view and manage my memories?

You manage everything from the Memories page inside your MiyoMind dashboard settings. Nothing about memory is hidden or automatic-only, you can see what the assistant knows and change it whenever you want.

  1. Open the web dashboard at miyomind.com and go to Settings.
  2. Select the Memories subpage to see the facts and preferences MiyoMind has saved about you.
  3. Add a memory directly if there's something you want the assistant to always know.
  4. Edit a memory to correct or refine it.
  5. Delete any memory you no longer want stored, and it stops being used in future conversations.

You can also just tell Miyo in chat, things like "remember that I prefer concise replies" or "forget my old job title." Because memory and your dashboard settings are connected, changes you make take effect in how the assistant talks to you going forward.

Is my memory data private and secure?

Yes. MiyoMind treats your memories as sensitive personal data and protects them with several overlapping safeguards.

  • Encrypted at rest: memory content is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and bound to your account, so it can't be read in bulk or attributed to the wrong user.
  • Account-scoped: memories belong to you and are only ever used in your own conversations, never shared or pooled across users.
  • Isolated workspaces: every paid user runs in a dedicated, sandboxed container with no public internet egress, a read-only root filesystem, and zero stored external API keys.
  • Hardened against manipulation: every message passes through a 10-layer prompt-injection defence and output scrubbing, so a malicious web page or document can't trick the assistant into leaking what it knows about you.

Integrations you connect via OAuth, like Gmail or Notion, are encrypted at rest the same way. The free tier runs on a shared direct-agent path rather than a dedicated container, but your data is still account-scoped and protected.

What does memory cost?

Using memory doesn't add a separate fee, it's part of how the assistant works. MiyoMind runs on a credit system where credits meter actual model and tool usage, and storing or recalling a memory is lightweight compared to a full reasoning turn. Recalling past conversations is a database lookup, so it's especially efficient.

Credits are also available as top-up packs (600 for $3, 2,000 for $10, 5,000 for $25, 10,000 for $50), and roughly 1 credit equals $0.005 of value. The Free plan requires no card and is a fair way to test how memory changes the experience before upgrading.

An assistant that remembers your context is the difference between a tool you reset every day and one that compounds in usefulness over time. With MiyoMind, that memory lives across all your chat apps, stays under your control, and is encrypted at rest.

Frequently asked questions

Does MiyoMind remember things between conversations?

Yes. MiyoMind keeps long-term memories of your preferences and important facts, and can recall earlier conversations when they become relevant. The relevant memories are pulled into each new chat automatically, so you don't have to re-explain your context every time.

Can I see and delete what the AI remembers about me?

Yes. The Memories page in your dashboard settings shows the facts and preferences MiyoMind has saved. You can add, edit, or delete any of them, and a deleted memory is no longer used in future conversations. You can also ask Miyo to remember or forget something directly in chat.

Is my memory data encrypted?

Yes. Memory content is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and bound to your account so it can't be mixed with another user's data. Connected integrations are encrypted the same way, and paid users run in isolated, sandboxed containers with no public internet egress.

Does memory work across WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, and the web?

Yes. Memory is tied to your MiyoMind account rather than a single chat window, so a fact you share on one platform is available when you message on another. Switch between WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, and the web dashboard and the assistant still knows you.

Does using memory cost extra credits?

There's no separate memory fee. MiyoMind runs on credits that meter actual model and tool usage, and storing or recalling a memory is lightweight. Recalling past conversations is a database lookup, which is especially efficient. Every plan, including Free, includes memory.

How is this different from a chatbot that forgets everything?

A typical chatbot starts fresh each session and forgets your details the moment you close it. MiyoMind retains durable facts and preferences, recalls past threads, and personalizes its replies over time, while still letting you view and delete anything it has stored.
