MiyoMind for Slack
Slack is where work happens, but it is also where context gets buried. MiyoMind connects to Slack through secure OAuth so you can ask one assistant to catch you up on a channel, turn a rambling thread into three bullet points, draft a message in your voice, and remind you to follow up tomorrow morning, all without leaving the conversation you are already in.
MiyoMind is a personal AI assistant you talk to inside WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, or the web dashboard at miyomind.com. Once Slack is connected, your workspace becomes one of the tools the assistant can reach, alongside Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, GitHub and roughly 30 other connectors.
What can MiyoMind do with Slack?
MiyoMind acts as an AI layer over your Slack workspace. Instead of scrolling through unread channels, you describe what you need in plain language and let the assistant read, summarise, draft and schedule on your behalf. Common tasks include:
- Summarise a channel or thread you missed, with the key decisions and action items pulled out.
- Draft a message or announcement in your tone, ready for you to review before it posts.
- Send a message you have approved to a channel or person.
- Set reminders, one-off or recurring, that fire to you across WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord or the web.
- Cross-reference Slack with your other connected tools, for example turning a thread into a calendar event or an email draft.
How do I connect Slack to MiyoMind?
Connecting takes under a minute and uses Slack's standard OAuth flow, so you never paste a password or token into MiyoMind. Provided the operator has configured the Slack connector for your instance, the steps are:
- Open the MiyoMind web dashboard at miyomind.com and go to the Connectors page.
- Find the Slack tile and click Connect.
- You are redirected to Slack to sign in and review the permissions MiyoMind is requesting.
- Approve the access, and Slack sends you back to MiyoMind with the connection live.
- Return to any chat surface, WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord or web, and start asking MiyoMind about your Slack.
If the Slack tile shows a setup-required state instead of a Connect button, the operator has not yet configured Slack OAuth credentials for the instance. That is an honest reflection of what is available, not a broken button.
Example things you can ask
Because you talk to MiyoMind in natural language, there are no commands to memorise. A few examples of what people ask once Slack is connected:
"Summarise the #product channel since yesterday and list any decisions."
"Draft a Slack message to #engineering announcing the release is delayed to Friday."
"What did the thread about the pricing change conclude?"
"Remind me every Monday at 9am to post the weekly update in #team."
"Turn the action items from #marketing into a checklist I can review."For the recurring reminder example, the reminder is owned by MiyoMind and fires to you on whichever chat app you use, nudging you to post, rather than auto-posting on a schedule. You stay in control of what actually lands in your channels.
Is the Slack integration private and safe?
Yes. MiyoMind treats your Slack connection as sensitive from the moment you authorise it. Privacy and safety measures include:
- OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, bound to your account so they cannot be reused elsewhere.
- MiyoMind never sees your Slack password, only the scoped access you grant through Slack's own consent screen, which you can revoke at any time.
- Every paid user runs in a dedicated, sandboxed Docker container with no public internet egress, a read-only root filesystem and dropped Linux capabilities; the container holds zero external API keys.
- A 10-layer prompt-injection defence plus output scrubbing runs on every message, so content pulled from a Slack channel cannot quietly hijack the assistant.
The free tier runs on a shared direct-agent path rather than a dedicated container, while encryption of your OAuth tokens applies on every plan.
How much does it cost?
The Slack connector is included on every plan; you only pay for the model and tool usage you actually consume, metered in credits where one credit is worth roughly $0.005 of value.
| Plan | Price / mo | Credits / mo | Dedicated container |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 100 | No (direct-agent) |
| Plus | $14.99 | 6,000 | Yes (1) |
| Pro | $39.99 | 18,000 | Yes (1) |
Need more headroom in a busy month? Credits are also sold as top-up packs: 600 for $3, 2,000 for $10, 5,000 for $25, and 10,000 for $50. There is nothing extra to install to chat with MiyoMind: you use it inside WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, or any browser.
Frequently asked questions
Can MiyoMind send Slack messages automatically?
MiyoMind defaults to drafting messages and showing them to you first. It only posts to Slack after you approve the draft, so summarising a channel never risks an accidental broadcast. You can ask it to send something you have reviewed in the same conversation.
Does MiyoMind store my Slack data?
MiyoMind reads the Slack content you ask it to work with at the time of your request. Your OAuth access token is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and bound to your account. You can revoke MiyoMind's access from Slack at any time, which immediately cuts off the connection.
Which chat apps can I use to control Slack through MiyoMind?
All of them. Once Slack is connected, you can ask MiyoMind about your workspace from WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord or the web dashboard at miyomind.com. The same assistant and the same memory work across every surface, so you are not tied to one app.
Can MiyoMind summarise long Slack threads?
Yes. Summarising busy channels and tangled threads is one of the most common uses. Ask MiyoMind to recap a channel since a certain time or to pull the decisions and action items out of a thread, and it returns a tight summary you can act on.
What if the Slack connector shows setup required?
A setup-required state means the operator running your MiyoMind instance has not yet configured Slack OAuth credentials. It is an honest signal that the connector is not live yet rather than a broken button. Once the operator adds the credentials, the tile switches to a working Connect button.
Do I need a paid plan to connect Slack?
No. The Slack connector is available on every plan, including the free tier, and your OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest regardless. Paid plans add a dedicated, sandboxed container and a larger monthly credit allowance for heavier use.
